With two little peanuts, ages 4 and 2, a husband, a dog, two cats, a job, friends, hobbies, a house and yard, and what must be at least 2 loads of laundry to fold and put away at any given time, I am extremely grateful for such a wonderful life… and, like many others, I struggle to fit it all in, feel like I’ve done a ‘good job’ where it counts, and to truly appreciate those things that really matter (not the laundry!).
And I strive to find some time for ‘me’ – to improve myself – to enjoy myself – to maintain an identity that is me and not just my function in relation to someone else.
This blog will hopefully be a place to share recipes, crafts, ideas, confessions, and more. In no way do I believe I have anything figured out -heck no! But, I do subscribe to the philosophy that hearing about other’s methods to deal with the madness can’t hurt (nor does a giggle at an unequivocal failure, which I’m sure I’ll be more than able to share at some point in the near future if the past is any indication).
And please, comment and share (but, as I say to my kids: “be kind to each other!”)
